Warrigal staff and residents meet Gareth Ward, MP

Gareth Ward Member for Kiama visited Warrigal residents and staff at the recent Combined Villages Meeting.

Gareth spoke to residents about the importance of older people engaging within their community. He outlined his vision for communities to be connected and adaptable to people of all ages. Gareth spoke of the importance of residents of communities being involved in a range of activities in the community including festivals, sporting and musical events.

Gareth has been an advocate for Warrigal and assisted Warrigal to obtain $17 million in government funding for the construction of the Shell Cove development, incorporating a residential care home as well as villas and units.
